This 1 day Buhanga Eco Park Safari will give you access to a number of rewarding attractions for travelers interested in understanding more about the culture of Rwanda. The Buhanga eco-park is of significant value to the culture of the people of Rwanda in relation to the kingdom of Rwanda. Continue with this 1 day Buhanga Eco Park safari for a detailed insight into your time in the park for a memorable safari experience.

The safari experience will start as early as 8:00 am making your way to Volcanoes National Park where you will access the eco-park which will give you access to the sacred grounds which was used as the coronation grounds for the last kings of Rwanda. Although President Kagame abolished kingdoms in Rwanda, it should be noted that much is not forgotten about the time when the kings ruled the land. The history of the kings of Rwanda dates back to the reign of King Yuhi V Musinga whose deep roots were in Nyanza, later he was succeeded by King Mutara iii Rudahigwa and others. The name of the park comes from the first King who established his kingdom on the grounds. So most of the kings would come to the park to get blessings from the first King that established their kingdom so the kings would take baths from the caves of the park with herbs which would give the king powers of being the King. After they would make their way to three in one tree that represents the three tribes of Rwanda; the Hutu, Twa, and the Tutsi, and how united they should be. At the park, you will get to watch a number of different tree species that some are about 300 years old all of which are believed to be sacred some of which some people get to worship to heal several conditions like bareness and so on. After the safari experience, you will head back to Kigali for dinner and an overnight stay.
