Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park

Our guide will pick you up from a location in Kigali city to transfer you to Akagera National Park. When you get to the park, you will enjoy participating in the game drive in Akagera National Park, which will give you access to several mammal species like the elands, gazelles, buffaloes, rhinos, and many other mammal species as you enjoy the game drives through the savannah plains. After the safari experience, head to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full day birding and departure

Have breakfast, and they transfer to the savannah plains to watch a variety of birds, including the lilac-breasted roller, the red-faced berbet, the secretary bird, the African grey hornbill, and many more. You will also participate in the boat cruise on Lake Ihema, which will give you access to the endangered shoebill stork and the kingfishers as they catch their prey in the wild. After the safari experience, you will transfer back to Kigali city, where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice in Kigali city or the Entebbe international airport, which will mark the end of your 2 days birding safari in Akagera National Park
