Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Upon arrival in Uganda, your guide will pick you up at the airport at an agreed time and embark on your drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will take you between 6 and 8 hours, which is very rewarding. You will have a stopover at the equator for the northern and southern hemisphere experiments. You will also have another stopover at igongo cultural center, where you will enjoy your lunch. After proceeding to the park and participating in the boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, which will give you chances to watch attractions like the king fishers, pelicans, shore birds like the African skimmer, African jacan, and many other bird species. After your rewarding boat safari, you will make your way to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2&3 Full day birding in Queen Elizabeth National Park
On these days, you will enjoy participating in the full-day game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, which will allow you to watch about 200 bird species during your birding experience. On your first day of birding, you will cover the Mweya peninsula, which will give you access to the savannah bird species like the raptors, bustards, martial eagles, and so on.
