Detailed itinerary for your safari
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park
At the location of your choice in Kampala city or Entebbe international airport, you will be picked up by your tour guide, who will give you a briefing of the rules and regulations to follow during the safari, among other features in the park. After the briefing session of your safari, you will make your way to the home of the primate species, Kibale National Park. As you transfer to the park, you will have a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe, where you will take part in the northern and southern hemisphere experiments. After the rewarding experiences, you will make your way to Kibale National Park, having another stopover in Fort Portal for lunch, and after you will make your way to Kibale National Park. On reaching, you will transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay as you get ready to take part in the next day’s activities.
Day 2: chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters, where you will participate in a briefing session on the chimpanzee trekking activity in the park, the rules and regulations to follow during the memorable activity. The rewarding activity will give you the opportunity to visit one of the habituated chimpanzee troops in the park. As you make your way to the habituated chimpanzee troops, you will get to see a number of rewarding attractions, like the different bird species, like the African pitta, Abyssinian ground thrush, Crowned eagle, Dusky crimson wing, Black-capped Apalis, Collared Apalis, and Purple-breasted sunbird, among other attractions. On reaching the habituated troops in the park, you will get the chance to know more about the chimpanzees, like how they co-exist with one another, their feeding patterns, among other rewarding experiences. During your safari, you will take pictures of the primates and a number of bird species, among other attractions in the park. After the rewarding experience in the park, you will transfer back to your hotel for relaxation and lunch in the evening, and you will have dinner and an overnight stay. Day 3: Cultural tour and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, your guide will transfer you to the local community, where you will visit the locals in Bigodi, where you will see how the locals co-exist with the Bigodi wetland, where they get a number of products and raw materials, will pick you up. You can also buy a number of crafts like baskets, pen holders, and souvenirs at the end of your trip. After the trip to the local community, you will make your way to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On reaching, you will participate in the launch cruise, which will give you access to a number of rewarding attractions, including a number of water birds like the kingfishers, and the hippos can be seen taking dips in the wild. After the safari experience, you will make your way to check into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Full day game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, your guide for the safari will pick you up and transfer you to the park’s game drive trails to embark on your full-day game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will watch a number of mammal species like: Common Duiker, Defassa Waterbuck, Oribi reedbucks, Impalas, Buffalos, Bush pigs, Giraffes, Eland, and Zebras, Uganda kobs up close. After the first half of your drive, you will have lunch, and later in the afternoon, you will participate in the second half of your drive to watch a number of animals that you might have missed out on while on your morning drive. After the experience, head back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Lion tracking and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an Early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will then transfer to the park to participate in Lion tracking in Uganda, which will give you access to a given lion pride, and will give you the chance to understand the behavior of the species in the wild. With lion tracking, you will have the chance to get an up close look, watch the males as they protect the lion pride, and you will also get to watch the females as they catch their prey in the wild. You will get to see how the lions establish their territories by urinating along their territory. With this, other lions from different prides will not cross over to another’s pride. After the experience, you will make your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha sector, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will head to the Buhoma park headquarters, where you will have a short briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking in Uganda to ensure you have a safe experience in the park. After the briefing session, you will get to hike through the impenetrable forest. The trek can take 2 to 8 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. Once gorillas are found, you will be given one hour with them. After the hike, you will head back to the park headquarters, meet your safari driver, and be transferred back to the lodge for refreshments. Later, you will participate in the Batwa trail experience, which will give you an insight into the formerly forest-dwelling people who have a number of unique cultures and values that you will get to learn. Dinner and overnight stay as the night before.
Day 7: Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will check out of the lodge and connect with your driver guide to transfer back to Kampala. Upon arrival in Kampala, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight or drop you off at your hotel in Kampala, depending on your schedule and the end of your 7 days Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Safari.
