Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Depending on your point of location in either Kampala City or Entebbe International Airport after landing in Uganda from your trip from the USA, you will be picked up by our safari guide who will brief you about your 7 days Uganda and Kenya safari. After the briefing session, you will be transferred back to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the southwestern part of Uganda, which will take you about 9 hours to reach the park. You will have en-route lunch at Mbarara. Continue with your drive to the park, having spectacular views of the farmlands, traditional homesteads, tea plantations, and many more. You will also have stopovers for photography to soak in the beauty of the West. Upon arrival in the park, check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Buhoma Heaven

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park

You will enjoy an early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled drinking water for a briefing by the park ranger guides at 7:00 am. After the briefing, you will start your gorilla trekking journey accompanied by the ranger guides in search of the mountain gorillas; this takes 2 to 8 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas. With gorilla trekking in Mgahinga National Park, you will have to hike the Virunga mountains in Africa, that is Mount Sabyinyo, Mount Muhabura and Mount Gahinga, which will give you access to the habituated gorilla families that will get to access the gorilla families in the wild for a memorable safari. After your gorilla trekking experience in Uganda, you will then have an optional community tour or village walk. dinner and overnight the night before.

Day 3: Fly to Maasai Mara

After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will connect with your guide to transfer to the Maasai Mara national reserve. You will make your way to the Kihihi airstrip to catch your flight straight to Serena airstrip. From Kihihi airstrip, you will fly to Serena airstrip, where you will be met by your guide to transfer you to your hotel for check-in and later participate in the game drives in Maasai Mara National Reserve. The reserve is the ultimate destination for travelers who are interested in participating in the wildlife safaris in Kenya.  The drive to the Maasai Mara will give you exceptional views of the fast-paced Kenyan landscape while driving to the reserve. The reserve is famous for housing over 8000 animals, including the big five animals; the leopards, buffaloes, rhinos, lions and leopards and herbivores like the bushbucks, elands, gazelles, and wildebeest, and many other attractions. It should be noted that the Maasai Mara National Reserve is the most notable destination for the wildebeest migration. You will also get to visit the Maasai Mara village as you make your way to the reserve, and when you get to it, you will participate in a short game drive, watch a number of animal species, and later on make your way to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4-6: Full day game drives following the wildebeest migration

On these days, days 4-6, you will get to participate in the game drives in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will wake up early to an early morning breakfast and then embark on the game drives in Maasai Mara National Reserve, following the wildebeest migration through the park. If you’re lucky enough, you will get to watch the spectacular Mara River crossing, which will give you the chance to watch over a million wildebeest crossing the river from Serengeti National Park. The herds can be seen facing off with the crocodiles, lions, and other predators as they fight to make their way to the savannah plains searching for green pastures and water.

Day 7: Transfer back to Nairobi city

After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will go on a short game drive to watch the early risers, and after make your way out of the park for a drop off in Nairobi city. End of 7 days Uganda and Kenya safari
