Here are some of the important guidelines:

Firstly, you must ensure that you have a Gorilla trekking permit which cost $1500 per person. You must also be above 15 years of age to give a gorilla trekking permit.

You should also hire a guide who will help you navigate the jungle and keep you safe during the trek. It is very important that you wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, and sturdy shoes while trekking in order to avoid injuries and to protect your clothing from the animals.

It is also important to bring plenty of water and food with you on the trek. Walking can be extremely strenuous, especially in the heat, so you should have plenty of food and liquids to keep you going throughout the day. You should also be prepared to spend the entire day in the jungle and avoid any unnecessary risks.

Last, but certainly not least, be sure to carry your camera with you so that you can capture the amazing sights that you will see during your trek.

Treks in the Volcanoes Mountain can go on for up to 6 hours before you can see the gorillas. But after you’ve spotted the gorillas you can quietly watch them for an hour in their natural wild environment before heading back to the base camp.
