Buhoma sector is located in the northern part of the Bwindi impenetrable national park  and there are around  5 habituated gorilla families which are always available to be trekked such as; Mubare gorilla group which is considered to be the oldest family and others like; Katwe gorilla family, Rushegura gorilla family, Habinyanja gorilla family and Binyindo gorilla family.

  1. Rushaga sector.

Rushaga sector is found within the Southern part of the park and it is known to be a home to over eight endangered mountain gorilla families, which tourists can trek and these include; Bweza gorilla family, Mishaya gorilla family, Nshongi gorilla family, Bikingi gorilla family, Kahungye gorilla family, Rwigi gorilla family, Busingye gorilla family, Mucungunzi gorilla family and many others.

Ruhija sector is located within the eastern part of Bwindi Impenetrable national park and within this sector there are over 3 habituated gorilla families such as; Bitukura gorilla family, Oruzogo gorilla group, Kyaguriro gorilla family.

  1. Nkuringo sector.

Nkuringo sector is found in the Southern part of the park and it is also a home to about three endangered mountain gorilla groups namely; Bushaho gorilla group, Christmas gorilla family, Nkuringo gorilla family and many others.
