This 1 day Volcanoes National Park safari will give you the chance to participate in the Dian Fossey hike, which will allow you to understand more about the history of gorilla trekking in Rwanda. The safari experience will give you the chance to understand more about the life of Dian Fossey and her work in gorilla habituation in Africa, where you will get the chance to hike to her grave while your guide narrates her journey to you as you make it to her gravesite. This safari experience will start from Kigali city where you will be picked up by your guide to transfer you to Volcanoes national park on reaching the park, you will participate in the Dian Fossey hike which will lead you to hike through the forests of mount bisoke and mount karisimbi famous for being the mountains where Dian Fossey established her research station the karisoke research station where she studied them and came up with ways to habituate the gorilla families. On reaching her grave, you will get to see the graves of her gorilla friends, including Digit, her favorite gorilla, who was killed by poachers. After the safari experience, head back to your starting point and make your way back to Kigali city, where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice, and this will mark the end of your 1 day Volcanoes National Park safari.
