Day 1: Transfer to lake Kivu and transfer to Gishwati Mukura national park
At a location of your choice in Kigali city or any other city in the country, you will be picked up by your guide for your safari to transfer to lake Kivu. During your transfer to the lake you will get to have a stopover at the king’s palace at Nyanza and later make your way to Lake Kivu. On reaching the lake, you will get to participate in the boat cruise on lake Kivu. Exploring the lake will give you the breathtaking experience as you observe the neighboring hills, diverse bird species and a number of rewarding attractions. This 1hour safari experience will give you the utmost experience as you enjoy the boat ride along the lake enjoying the cool breeze for a memorable safari experience. After the rewarding experience, you will make your way to Gishwati Mukura national park you will reach in time for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and departure
Wake up early in the morning have breakfast and with your packed lunch, you will make your way in the park to participate in chimpanzee trekking in Gishwati Mukura national park. With chimpanzee trekking in the park, you will have the opportunity to hike through the forest which will give you a number of different attractions from the primates to the different bird species and so on. When you get to the habituated chimpanzee troop, you will get to spend an hour with the species, taking pictures of the species, you will watch how the species interact with one another, you will get to take their pictures and so on and in case of any questions about the species, you can ask your safari guide to give you all the relevant information. After the safari experience, you will head back to Kigali city where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice or Kigali International Airport.
