Detailed Itinerary for 5 Days Tanzania Northern Circuit Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Our company representative will meet you at the airport and transport you to your Arusha lodging. There you will spend the night, unwind, and prepare for the activities ahead. Arusha Planet Resort, our partner lodge, is a haven of peace and beauty. Dinner and overnight at Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa/ Villa Maua Arusha.

Day 2: Transfer to Tarangire National Park

Our safari guide picks us up from our resort after breakfast for the journey to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2 hours). Tarangire is named after the life-giving Tarangire River, and is most renowned for its elephant families, savannah, distinctive baobab trees, and seasonal wetlands. Animals congregate around the river, and giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest are frequently spotted. The park is also home to buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest, all of which are watched over by a variety of predators, including Simba the King and his cousin, the leopard.

We’ll be able to take in the scenery and see wildlife from the open roof of our state-of-the-art safari vehicle. We’ll have a picnic lunch in the park, complete with a beautifully diverse menu, coffee, and soft beverages. After a long day of taking in the wonders of the park, we will travel to our accommodations to rest, have supper in beautiful surroundings, and retire to our well-appointed apartments as the spirit takes us.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti National Park

After a quick breakfast, we set off for the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s biggest volcanic crater. The caldera, which was produced by the explosion of a volcano three million years ago and is about 20 km wide and 600 m deep, was once taller than Kilimanjaro and is famed for its diverse biodiversity. The caldera, being a self-contained paradise, is home to an abundance of the greatest animal species in the world.

Aside from the Big Five, the many springs attract wildebeest, gazelle, reedbuck, and over 500 bird species. We’ll leave at 2:00 p.m. for the Serengeti, arriving at our lodgings in a high-end tented camp around 6:00 p.m. The Serengeti, which means “Endless Plain” in Maa, the Maasai language, is Tanzania’s biggest park. It also has a variety of landscapes and ecosystems, including grassy plains, marshes, lakes, savannah, mountains, and all of the wildlife that live there. Dinner and overnight will be at Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp/ Serengeti  Sopa Lodge.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park- Karatu

We’ll have another early breakfast and leave for our game drive at 6:30 a.m. We’ll be there for 6-7 hours, touring this amazing park. The Serengeti is home to a diverse range of animals, including impala, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippopotamuses. However, it is more renowned for its large migratory herds of zebras (2.5 million), wildebeest (1.5 million), and antelope (half a million).

The animals’ migration is influenced by rainfall, which changes from year to year. Aside from the moving herds, we may spot predators like as leopards, cheetahs, and lions at work. We’ll return to Karatu at 2:00 p.m., arriving at our carefully picked mid-range partner lodge for supper. You’ll dine in an elegant restaurant with a pool for leisure. If desired, a dinner can be enjoyed by the fire beneath the vast African sky. Later, proceed to our spacious accommodations, which are waiting for us for a night of comfort and wild cat dreams!

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park and Transfer Back to Arusha.

We’ll take a short journey to Lake Manyara National Park after breakfast. Manyara, a tiny but diversified park 120 kilometers west of Arusha, is called for the shallow salt lake that covers 70 percent of the park’s area. This soda lake, which floods and dries annually, is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. We’ll see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, elephants, and, with luck, lions resting in the trees as we explore the park. The park is notable for its various landscapes, which include broad grassy plains, primate-filled woods, and baobab-dotted cliffs.

We’ll return to Arusha after lunch, our trip having come to an end here. You’ll arrive at about 5pm in the evening. End of Tanzania Safari.
