Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Serengeti National Park
Upon your arrival, you will have breakfast at your hotel in Moshi, and your guide will meet up with you and brief you about your 3 days Serengeti National Park safari and what to expect for your safari experience in the wild. After the briefing session, your guide will drive you to Serengeti National Park, where you will enjoy beautiful views of the savannah plains of the national park and also get to watch a number of different animal species like the big five, such as elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalos, among others. You will be driven to your lodge for check-in for dinner, and an overnight stay at Osinon camps and lodges
Day 2: Full day Serengeti National Park
After your breakfast at your hotel with your packed lunch, you will then proceed to participate in the full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park. On reaching the plains and the different trails, you will get to watch the different features in the wild, like the herbivores, like the buffalos and rhinos, as well as wildebeests, zebras, hippos, cheetahs, antelopes, giraffes, impalas, and waterbucks, as they graze in the plains. You will also get the opportunity to watch a number of carnivores as well like the leopards, hyenas, lions, and many other attractions. After your full day drive, you will then head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay, as on the night before.
Day 3: Short game drive and fly to Zanzibar
After having breakfast, head to the park’s plains for a half-day game drive, which will give you a chance to watch more species that you might have missed out on the night before. After your safari experience, drive to Seronera Airport for your flight to Zanzibar Island. Arrive at Zanzibar Airport and be transferred to your hotel.
Day 4: Zanzibar Beach
Full day in Zanzibar exploring the beaches, spice markets, and leisure.
Day 5: Depart for Uganda
After breakfast at your beach resort in Zanzibar Island, you will spend some time relaxing depending on your flight schedule, then be transferred to the Zanzibar Airport for your next flight to Entebbe International Airport. On reaching, you will check into your hotel for dinner and overnight stay at the Best Western hotel just near the airport.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel near Entebbe international airport, you will be picked up by our safari guide who will brief you about your 3 days gorilla trekking in Uganda and Lake Bunyonyi. After the briefing session, you will be transferred back to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the south-western part of Uganda, which will take you about 9 hours to reach the park. You will have en-route lunch at Mbarara. Continue with your drive to the park, having spectacular views of the farmlands, traditional homesteads, tea plantations, and many more. You will also have stopovers for photography to soak in the beauty of the West. Upon arrival in the park, check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Have an early morning, have breakfast at 6:30 am, and pack lunch boxes. You will be picked up by your driver guide to transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorillas. After, you will make your way to the habituated gorilla family, which you will get to spend an hour with when you come into contact with them. The gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park will take between 2-7 hours when you get in contact with the gorillas, taking their pictures, and watching their behavioral patterns in the wild. After the safari experience, you will then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. At Lake Bunyonyi, you will participate in the boat cruise on Uganda’s deepest lake, where you can visit Akampene Island, which has a unique history, you will watch a number of bird species, and if you’re interested, you can also go swimming in the bilharzia-free waters. Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8: Boat cruise and Departure to Kampala /Entebbe
After an early morning breakfast, you will check out the lodge, go for a boat ride on the Lake, where you will be able to explore some of the 29 islands, such as the Akampene Island, which was a punishment island where young girls were abandoned by their parents when they got impregnated before marriage and many other islands. Alternatively, instead of a boat cruise, you can participate in a village walk to understand more about the culture of the people of Uganda and their unique cultures. After you will make your way back to kampala, having a stopover at the equator at Kayabwe for lunch. After you will make your way back to be dropped at a location of your choice in Kampala City or Entebbe International Airport.
