Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
At your location in Kigali city, your guide will pick you up and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park, where you will visit the Musanze caves. The Musanze caves have historical significance and several rewarding attractions. The caves were used as coronation sites for the former kings of Rwanda. The caves are quite eye-catching with breathtaking rock formations, hanging colonies, and bat colonies, among other rewarding attractions. After the experience, head back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Rwanda
On the second day of your 4 days volcanoes national park safari will have the opportunity to participate in gorilla trekking in Rwanda, which will lead you to nearly half of the remaining mountain gorillas in Africa. Gorilla trekking in volcanoes national park will give you the chance to hike the Virunga mountains in Rwanda: Mount Sabyinyo, Mount Gahinga, Mount Karisimbi, Mount Bisoke, and Mount Muhabura, which will give you access to the habituated gorilla families to spend an hour with the gen Rwanda the giants, take pictures of the species, and ask questions about the species. After the safari experience, head back to your starting point, where you will be given your certificate for participating in the park. Day 3: Golden monkey trekking in Rwanda
After an early morning breakfast, head to the park and participate in golden monkey trekking, which will lead you to the golden monkey troops that can be accessed at the high elevations of the Virunga mountains in Rwanda. These can be seen in the bamboo trees, where you will spend an hour observing their behaviour. After the experience, head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay, and later in the evening, participate in the ibyi’wacu cultural tour, which will give you access to a rewarding cultural group showcasing the Rwanda culture through food, traditional dances, and plays. Day 4: Transfer back to Kigali
After your safari experience, you will make your way back to Kigali, where you be dropped off at a location of your choice. You will also participate in the genocide tour, where you will visit the Kigali genocide memorial museum, which will give you insight into the genocide in Rwanda.
