DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Transfer to Bwindi: Depending on your location in Kampala on the first day of the3 days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari in Uganda, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park which takes about 8 to 9 hours’ drive inclusive with a stopover at the equator for the southern and northern hemisphere experiments, take pictures and also get to buy some souvenirs. Then after a drive to Mbarara with a stopover for lunch en route. Continue to drive on the way you will enjoy great views of rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and beautiful landscapes among others. Upon arrival in the park, you will check into the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Budget), Buhoma Haven Lodge (Mid-range accommodation)
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi impenetrable
Gorilla Trekking: Wake up and have an early morning breakfast served with donuts with packed lunch boxes. Your driver will pick you up and transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking before heading out for your incredible experience of gorilla trekking in the green montane rain forest. After a short briefing, you will be accompanied by the ranger and you’re free to ask him any question about mountain gorillas. The trek can take 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of gorillas. Once gorillas are found, you will be given one hour to watch them as they play around, feed their younger ones, learn their lifestyle as well, and enjoy your packed lunch boxes with memorable picture-taking for your future remembrance. After the hike back to the park headquarters meet your safari driver –drive you back to the lodge for refreshments. Later you will participate in the Batwa trail experience which will give you an insight into the formerly forest people who have a number of unique cultures and values that you will get to learn., dinner,r and overnight stay as the night before.
Day 3: Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe
Wake up on a leisurely morning and have breakfast, check out of the lodge, and then meet up with your driver guide to transfer back to Kampala. Upon arrival in Kampala, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or drop you off at your hotel in Kampala depending on your schedule.
